MAGRITTE INSPIRED

Rene Magritte is an inspiration to many because of his use of thought-provoking imagery during the 20th Century. His work would often depict ordinary objects in a distorted reality, allowing for mystery and emotion to invoke upon each viewer. He was a lead influencer during the Surrealist Movement and his work made a large impact on the creation of the Magritte Inspired series in the Human Canvas collection.

Paralleling Magritte’s use of anomalies through symbolism, Alexis and Wesley emulate his style by incorporating their use of beauty through illusion and perspective. Adding to the symbolic nature of this series, the woman featured is a devoted admirer of Magritte as she possesses four tattoos of the famous artist.
