KLIMT INSPIRED

The famous 20th Century artist, Gustav Klimt was known to go against the grain of society with his artwork and followed his own inspirations despite the criticism he received. Klimt’s gilded-style artworks often epitomized melancholic narratives depicting anxiety, sexuality, doubt and death represented by feminine portraits and pale nudes.

Paralleling the works of Gustav Klimt, the artists behind the Human Canvas sought to illuminate the similarities of the mindset shown throughout Klimt’s work. Resonating with this same mindset, Wesley and Alexis invoke his essence through their Klimt Inspired series.
